Kal’enedral by morning, sword-sworn Shin’a’in,

On my sword and my daggers are edges razor-keen,

Hear the firm refrain ‘cross Dhorisha’s plain

of “the Star-Eyed’s hands I’ll be–“,

Kal’enedral by morning, Kal’enedral’s what I’d be!

 

Kal’enedral by morning, following Her way

With a host of instructors, kal’enedral leshya’e,

Though from life they’re gone, still She sends them on

to teach such folk as me,

Kal’enedral by morning, as they are I’d one day be.

 

Kal’enedral by morning, taking vengeance’s trail,

Wearing garb colored midnight, so that justice will prevail;

The avenger’s life filled with blood and strife

Is by all Clans left to me;

Kal’enedral by morning, bloody carnage would I see.

 

Kal’enedral by morning, facing life alone,

Never mate, never lover, never children of my own,

As the Warrior’s claim is desire’s bane

Her touch makes all passions flee;

Kal’enedral by morning, barren seedstock I would be.

 

Kal’enedral by morning, walking moonpaths above,

Seeking answers to questions, and the guidance of Her love,

There are those who claim I must be insane

Or possessed of an unsound mind;

Kal’enedral by morning, sworn to Her till the end of time!

 

Kal’enedral by morning, sword-sworn Shin’a’in,

Thinking back to my binding makes the soul within me sing!

And the sweet refrain echoes ‘cross the Plains–

“The Warrior’s Sword I’ll be!”

Kal’enedral by morning, Kal’enel,oh let me be!
