Standing atop the rocks I looked upon my ocean blue
My soul reached out and my heart could feel you
I leaped from the rocks and spread open my wings
Wind rushing through my feathers my heart began to sing
High tide rolled in and your waves washed over me
My soul drank deeply and my thirst was washed away
But the sun set over the water that seemed to be so clear
The moon seemed to pull upon the heart I held so dear.
And with many things in life this was doomed not to last
My heart screaming low tide rudhed out way too fast
But if you are truly looking for someone to blame
Blame the moon for not enough light for me to clearly see
And for pulling my blue eyes back out to sea.
