I now understand why I need the rain
and the storms, the darkness of the day.
The sounds of splatter on the porch
and the gust of winds against my face
I now understand why I need the mountain
and to stand at her edge…
listening for an eagle’s wings to flutter by
as I balance near it’s stage.
I know why I create the dried tears
and the drama, and the melancholy moments, I hold..
It’s so I can sing along, to the only melody I know
and dance to the only song, that bleeds my soul.
